Lessons are sold in monthly and quarterly plans: the main subject plus theory and an ensemble. The rates below show how a plan is calculated.

A plan combines the main subject with theory and an ensemble, so a month of lessons starts at $360. Count your own plan.

Payment
How payment works
New students start with a trial month; students who continue switch to the quarterly plan.
Month in advance
For new students during the trial period. Payment is due by the 30th of the month. If the payment does not arrive within three days after the due date, a $30 late fee is added.
Quarter in advance
Three months paid in advance — for every student who decides to study with us on a regular basis. Payment is also due by the 30th of the month, and the same $30 late fee applies if it does not arrive within three days after the due date.
Missed lessons
Within one quarter a student may miss two lessons for a valid reason. The teacher can make these lessons up later.

How often lessons run
Instrument and vocal
At least one lesson a week. You can take more — one lesson a week is the basic option.
Music theory
Theory runs in three-month courses, one class a week, and ends with an exam. Theory is available only as this course, not as separate lessons. After three months and the exam the student moves on to the next level.
Ensemble and choir
One rehearsal a week. The first month is a trial one; after it students continue with the three-month plan.
Other fees
- A $20.00 charge will be applied in case of non-sufficient funds or returned check charge.
- Recital Fee: $15.00 per student.
- Registration Fee: There is an annual registration fee of $25.00 per student.

- How much does a music lesson cost in Minneapolis?
- An instrument lesson at Minnesota’s Talent School costs $30 for 30 minutes, $45 for 45 minutes, $60 for an hour. Vocal lessons cost $35 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, $70 for 60 minutes. Music theory and ensemble are $30 for 45 minutes.
