How it works

Four steps

  1. 01

The student picks the main subject: an instrument or vocal.

  2. 02

Theory and Solfeggio is added in both cases; ensemble comes with an instrument, choir comes with vocal.

  3. 03

The student picks the length of the main lesson — 30, 45 or 60 minutes — and how many lessons a week (one is the basic option).

  4. 04

New students start with the one-month plan and then continue with the quarter.

Good to know

The rules

  • Theory and Solfeggio runs as a three-month course, one class a week, and ends with an exam. After the exam the student moves on to the next level.
  • Ensemble and choir meet once a week. The first month is a trial one; after it students continue with the three-month plan.
  • Within one quarter a student may miss two lessons for a valid reason — the teacher makes them up later.
  • Payment is due by the 30th. A $30 late fee is added if it does not arrive within three days after the due date.

We provide private and group lessons, and you can contact our manager to help you decide which is more convenient for you.

Questions

Lessons and plans

What is included in a lesson plan?
A plan covers the main subject — an instrument or vocal — plus music theory and an ensemble (a choir for vocal students). Theory and the group class come with the plan by default; ask the manager before leaving one out.
How often are lessons held?
At least one lesson a week. You can take more — one lesson a week is the basic option.
Can music theory be taken as a single lesson?
Theory runs in three-month courses, one class a week, and ends with an exam. Theory is available only as this course, not as separate lessons. After three months and the exam the student moves on to the next level.
