Why to Choose Woodwind
Positive Impact on Respiratory System
Regular practicing of woodwind instruments has an immense impact on your health. It revitalizes and strengthens the respiratory system and may help cure such diseases as asthma, chronic bronchitis, and respiratory issues.

The reason to that is that when you play the woodwind instrument, resistance to the flow of exhaled air is created. It helps to open alveoli (structural units of the lungs), develop respiratory tissues, improve gas exchange in the body, and increase the vital volume of the lungs.

1
Academic Success

Singing lessons have similar positive effects on people’s mind and body condition. Both singing and playing woodwind instruments help to treat nervous disorders and relieve insomnia. Even fussy and impatient children who take these classes may become calmer and more balanced and this in turn may positively affect their academic success in school.
2
Variety of Skills

At Talent's School you will learn to play not just the one instrument, but also obtain the skill of switching easily between different instruments of the woodwind family. At the same time, you will have an opportunity to practice in a chamber group or big band, that will be of great help if you decide to proceed with your music education in other institutions.

During our woodwind lessons, you also acquire breathing techniques that may be useful for your health and everyday life.

What is the Best Age to Start Playing Woodwind?

For Kids
Normally we offer private flute classes for students starting from 7 years old. If you want your child to begin music earlier, we propose to start with the curved-head flute.
Regarding the saxophone, clarinet, and oboe private lessons, we recommend starting not earlier than the age of 8. The younger kids typically do not have sufficient lung capacity and physical strength to handle these instruments.
If you plan to start your child’s education at the youngest age possible, you could consider enrolling in guitar, piano, or violin classes.
For Adults
It’s never too late to start playing the woodwind instruments, we welcome first-time students of any age. To meet our student needs and abilities we tailor our classes individually for each person. All you need is motivation!
